Blackwater Walking Events
Blackwater Regional Partnership support a newly formed partnership made up of representatives from individual rambling clubs within the Blackwater Region in delivering a number of cross border walking events for 2009. The groups are from the council areas of Dungannon and South Tyrone, Armagh City & District and Monaghan County.
The Blackwater ramblers invite you to walk with them on this journey and enjoy the best of what this region has to offer in terms of landscape and hospitality.
You do not have to be super-fit to enjoy walking. People walk for different reasons: to enjoy the wonderful scenery, to explore different parts of the country, to feel at one with nature, for fresh air, health and fitness, for championship whatever the reason you will benefit in every way from the experience.
Why not join the Blackwater Ramblers as they host BEHIND THE WALLS - Caledon & Tynan Estates Walk in partnership with the Management & Staff of the estates on Saturday 9th May, 11.30am registrating from Caledon Courthouse. A memorable walking event between two countries and two estates in close proximity - an opportunity to experience late spring on Caledon & Tynan Estates. Enjoy the scenery and wonderful smell of wild garlic, bluebells and rhododendron along with the ecclesiastical, industrial and architectural heritage that this unquie area has to offer.
This walk has been independently funded however the organisers are asking everyone to donate a fee of £10 in aid of Newry Hospice.
