EMS- Environmental Management System

Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council have been awarded an Environmental Management Accreditation (ISO 14001) as part of the STEM Project (Sustainable through Environmental Management.

The ISO 14001 Environmental Management System is a tool that allows Dungannon and South Tyrone BorougH Council to assess and control the environmental impacts of its activities.

EMS TARGETS

1. Reduce electricity usage by 2% by March 2008

2. Develop a Green Procurement Policy

3. Reduce waste to landfill by 20% by April 2008

4. Reduce fuel usage by 2% by March 2008
