Dangerous Buildings
The Building Control department have a responsibility under the Public Health Acts Amendment Act 1907, to ensure that any building fronting, adjoining or abutting on any street or public footpath is not dangerous to the person lawfully using the street or footpath.
If the building is deemed to be dangerous, Building Control will serve notice on the owner requiring the person within the period specified in the notice, to make safe the property as to prevent any danger there from.
