Civic Amenities
Technical services operates four Civic Amenity Sites located throughout the Borough for depositing of recyclable materials and domestic and light commercial waste.
Skips are also available on each site for Green Waste and Scrap Metal. Skips for blue bin materials, i.e. paper, cardboard, cans, tetra-paks and plastic bottles are available at Drumcoo, Coalisland and Fivemiletown sites.
Civic amenity sites are manned and open to the public six days/week during the following hours with the exception of Public/Statutory Holidays:-
Drumcoo, Coalisland Road, Dungannon
Opening hours April-September Mon-Fri - 9.00am - 9.00pm
Saturday 9.00am - 6.00pm
October-March Mon-Sat - 9.00am - 6.00pm
Coalisland, Derry Road, Coalisland
Opening hours April-September Mon-Fri - 9.00am - 9.00pm
Saturday - 9.00am - 6.00pm
October-March Mon-Sat - 9.00am - 6.00pm
Clogher, Fintona Road, Clogher
Opening hours All Year Mon-Sat - 9.00am - 5.00pm
Fivemiletown, Screeby Road, Fivemiletown
Opening hours All Year Mon-Sat - 9.00am - 5.00pm
Commercial operators using the sites will be charged £4.50 per cubic metre for un-compacted waste deposited.
Recyclable materials which can be deposited at the above sites are:-
- Timber
- Engine and vegetable oils
- Food and drinks cans
- Glass bottle and jars
- Scrap metals
- Household and vehicle batteries
- Paper and cardboard
- Green waste
- Textiles
- Fluorescent Tubes and energy efficient light bulbs
- Mobile phones
- Waste electrical equipment e.g. toasters, kettles, TVs and large domestic appliances including fridges and freezers
