Spark Crafts
SPARK is the result of a joint venture between Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council and Donegal County Enterprise Board. It is comprised of a group of talented people who produce crafts in counties Tyrone and Donegal. Inspired by the natural surroundings of the North West as well as the wit and humour of the region, SPARK has grown from the connection of the people in these areas. They produce a wide range of interesting and beautiful treasures - from hand made glass to carved bog oak, from wonderfully coloured weaves to delicate precious jewellery and lustrous ceramics.
SPARK brings together the ideas and experiences of craftspeople, many of whom work in remote areas. It could be an old cottage looking out on the Atlantic or a mill house nestled in the Sperrins.
The story of SPARK is a remarkable one, a tale of old skills and techniques being handed on, of work on unique gifts in turf or slate, or maybe of innovation in superb glazes in pottery. Presidents, prime ministers and the rich and famous are among those already 'SPARKed'. Maybe you will be too!
