South Tyrone Area Partnership

Dungannon Local Strategy Partnership, known as South Tyrone Area Partnership (STAP - LSP) is one of twenty-six Local Strategy Partnerships in Northern Ireland. STAP is responsible for the development and delivery of Priority 3 Measures 1 & 2 of the Peace II Programme.

What are Local Strategy Partnerships?

Local Strategy Partnerships (LSP's) have been created to unite the services and initiatives being offered by the public, private and voluntary sectors. By doing this, at a local level, repetition is decreased leading to more effective and efficient service delivery.

STAP - LSP are committed to continuing to work for the good of the area and it is hoped that with the new round of funding 2006 2008 STAP once again will have the opportunity to continue to administer the programme's. It is hoped that we will be in a position to continue to support current area of investment and possibly develop new priority themes.

STAP - LSP Mission Statement

"To empower and enable the diverse strands which constitute the community of the South Tyrone Area in working together through participatory citizenship towards a more active and equitable society.

- By building individual and collective confidence
- By nurturing inclusion and interaction
- By overcoming barriers and respecting diversity
