Committee Structure
There are three standing committees of Council and they meet monthly.
The Council allocates its Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Committee Chairs for a four-year period in accordance with the d'Hondt system of proportionality.
In addition, a range of ad-hoc committees are set up to deal with specific problems or plan particular projects.
Currently consideration is being given to revision of committee/sub committee structure and when way forward decided information will be posted to the site.
