Hallowe'en Spooktacular
Publish Date: Friday, 10 October 2008
Look out for ghostly goings on in Dungannon town centre as it gets into the spirit of Hallowe'en with a feast of fireworks and Spooktacular celebrations for all the family on Friday 31st October.
Mayor Councillor the Lord Morrow is keen to join in on the fun too. He says:
"I am delighted that yet again the Council together with Dungannon Regeneration Partnership and Newell Stores is sponsoring this event which is a 'must' in any families year planner. It is also a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of the offers and discounts promoted by retailers throughout our bustling town centre."
Mark your calendar for Friday 31st October for stories and art classes at Dungannon Library (booking essential) and a host of outdoor activity from 5.30pm in Market Square.
Games, face painting, balloon modelling, music, stilt-walkers, a Ferrari racing car simulator and a penalty shoot out are just some of the fun elements to look forward to, and a large owl and reptile walkabout and display will surely attract a crowd.
The ever popular fancy dress competition begins at 7.30pm with prizes for the best original costume and best movie character. Back to haunt you are the cast from CRAIC theatre who gave a 'thrilling' performance last year to the delight of the audience - to find out what they have up their sleeves this year, make sure to catch the live show at 8.15pm. The event finishes with a fabulous fireworks display at 8.30pm sponsored by Newell Stores. Look out for special offers and savers in participating shops and cafes from 29th October to 1st November.
Back due to popular demand are the sell-out Haunted Tours around the town which run from Monday 27th to Thursday 30th October. Secure your place on a truly wicked evening out on 028 8772 8600/8772 8602. Book now - if you dare...
