Reserve a place at Winter School

Its not to late to reserve your place at the 3rd annual Charlie Donnelly Winter School will be held in Tyrone Crystal Visitor centre on Saturday 26th February. The winter school offers a diverse programme including panel discussion, poets and pints session and keynote address by Dr Robbie McVeigh.
This theme of this year’s school is ‘Colonialism: The legacy’. The school will discuss Colonialism in both and National and International contexts as well as new forms of Colonialism. e.g. the current situation in Iraq. Dr. Robbie McVeigh a human rights activist and accomplished researcher is the keynote Speaker at the event, will lecture on the long debated issue of Colonialism.
If challenging discussion, engaging and exploratory debates appeals to you, then you will find it on the programme on Saturday afternoon. A panel discussion will take place and will be chaired by Susan Mc Kay (Journalist and Author) and will also include: Anna Lo (Chinese Welfare Association), Nell Mc Cafferty (Journalist and Playwright) and Newton Emerson (Journalist).
Poets and Pints Session
Following the resounding success of last year’s event, a ‘Poets and Pints’ session with the renowned Tommy Sands will be held in Craic Arts Centre in Coalisland from 8pm.
