What is the role of Dungannon and South Tyrone District Policing Partnership (DPP)?

The principal role of Dungannon and South Tyrone DPP is to consult with the community to ensure that local policing reflects local needs.  Local perceptions and concerns will be discussed with the Police District Commander; as far as possible policing plans will take account of issues raised and the DPP will monitor delivery of objectives.
Methodology?
· To create a forum for discussion and consultation forum on policing issues in Dungannon and South Tyrone;
· To assist in establishing local policing priorities in conjunction with the local Police District Commander;
· To develop practical ways of gaining public's cooperation in preventing crime;
· To encourage the police and public to work together to protect the vulnerable in our community and
· To monitor the delivery of  police services based on the local policing plan;
How can the DPP benefit the Dungannon and South Tyrone community?
· By making policing more accessible to the community and
· By informing the community what is happening in the fight against lawlessness and crime.
