New CEO welcomed by Dungannon Councillor
New CEO of the Irish Central Border Area Network (ICBAN) Ltd, Shane Campbell was welcomed today in Carrick on Shannon during his first Management Board Meeting. The Board, consisting of 20 cross-border councillors from ICBAN's ten local authorities were unanimous in their good wishes to the Cookstown man.
Shane joined ICBAN from The Rural College, Draperstown where he was Director for 5 years and is no stranger to economic development throughout the Border Region thanks to his previous posts, in particular on a local level, working as he did in the past for Coalisland & District Development Association Ltd.
Welcoming Shane on board, local Councillor Jim Cavanagh said;
"I welcome our new CEO and wish Shane well in the task of leading a very efficient team for the benefit of the communities we represent."
Shane, in addressing the Board was appreciative of the warm welcome and in acknowledging the role ahead, said;
"I am very much looking forward to the challenge of helping develop the Irish Central Border Area and working with Dungannon Council and others in the borough. This will include the delivery of the EU funded INTERREG IVA Programme, as well as other initiatives to benefit the cross-border area.
