The Community Eco-Challenge is a pilot project for Northern Ireland, aimed at helping 100 householders reduce their ecological footprint.
Did you know: the average person in Northern Ireland lives a lifestyle that requires over 3 planets to sustain it? We all need to take a step in the right direction and the Community Eco-Challenge is extending their challenge to YOU to reduce your ecological footprint and be in with a chance to WIN an amazing prize!

What is Ecological Footprinting?
Ecological footprinting is a simple tool to measure and demonstrate the impact our current lifestyle has on the natural environment. In Northern Ireland, our ecological footprint is made up of four main elements - transport, food, waste and energy. With over 75% of our ecological footprint triggered by the day to day decisions we make in these areas i.e. how we get around, what we eat, how we dispose of our waste and how we heat our homes, we can all take simple steps to reduce our ecological footprint. So why not take a step in the right direction and reduce your ecological footprint today. For more information on the Community Eco-Challenge, log onto www.communityecochallenge.com.
