Free Anti Racism Training for Community Groups
Publish Date: Tuesday, 22 January 2008
Would your community group like to learn and receive training on diversity, inclusion and anti racism?
The rural community is changing at a very fast pace. After years of migration from the countryside, people are coming to live in the villages and surrounding areas from cities and from other countries.
Many community groups would like to reach out to new rural dwellers but aren't sure where to start. Others aren't totally convinced the changes are for the better, but are keeping an open mind until they know more.
Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council are providing a series of FREE awareness raising sessions over the next few months followed by community group training on diversity, inclusion and anti racism.
The sessions will be facilitated by COSTA, STEP and RCN and will be coming to your local town or village in early 2008.
If you/your organisation is interested in the training, or would like further information on the introductory session, please contact Lorraine at COSTA Tel; 028 855 56880 - email: costa.network@virgin.net or Ramune at STEP Tel; 028 877 29002 - email: ramune@stepni.org
