Publish Date: Monday, 03 December 2007
Dungannon Regeneration Partnership (DRP) in conjunction with DungannonLIFE and Council is launching a new promotional Christmas campaign aimed at attracting shoppers to Dungannon over the festive period.
The campaign builds on last year's which included the launch of Dungannon's new brand and strapline "altogether better". This year the campaign will include bill board, local press, radio and a new TV Campaign in conjunction with Armagh and Monaghan, as well as late night opening in the town centre.
Cllr Walter Cuddy, Chairman of the DRP said "This year's Christmas promotional campaign is bigger and better than before and aims to promote the "altogether better' shopping experience in Dungannon which is truly unique with its mix of independent traders all within easy access of the motorway. We are also delighted to announce late night opening in the town centre on Friday 14th, Thursday 20th and Friday 21st which is supported by local firm Jermon Developments. On these three nights shoppers can enjoy a unique shopping experience and sample seasonal cuisine".
Paul McCreedy, Town Development Manager says "Retailers have been reporting ever-increasing numbers of shoppers from out of town over the past couple of years. Our new campaign emphasises that Dungannon not only offers 'altogether better' shopping but also is distinctively different from the other major retail centres of Northern Ireland and the Border Counties, and can offer everything needed to make it a great day out."
"As well as the range of multi-national stores in our busy streets and squares and in established developments such as the Oaks Centre and The Linen Green, we are particularly proud of our strong representation of independent locally-owned stores, specialist shops and outdoor markets" continues Paul.
We have a huge range of shops within walking distance of one another and car-parking is plentiful, so we are ideal for carefree One-Stop Christmas Shopping.
Christmas is a special time of year and Dungannon will be no exception with the festive lights, decorations, street music and the smell of Christmas in the air will all add to the magic... even for those who just want to sit back and soak up the atmosphere.
Mayor of Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council, Councillor Barry Monteith is excited about this years events "This is an exciting year, with our first TV advertising campaign. I encourage everyone from near and far to shop in Dungannon this Christmas. Whether Dungannon is a new experience for you or it is a wee-known destination. I'm sure we have something very special for you this Christmas".
