Donna Traynor to Chair Council Forum Event

BBC Newsline anchor Donna Traynor is set to host a unique business event which seeks to examine the skills of our current workforce and the measures that need to be taken to improve the skills base of today's and tomorrow's workforce.
'Skills Beyond 2007' will be held on Thursday 6th September at East Tyrone College as part of Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council's Flight of the Earls festival.
The event will explore topics such as Success through Skiils, Skills for Tomorrow's World, Competing Globally, New Migrant Skills and Development of the Economy and will feature key speakers including Aideen McGinley (DEL), Jimmy Mullan (South West College Dungannon Campus) and Dermot O'Doherty (Intertrade Ireland).
Participants will also outline how the Republic of Ireland has improved its skills base leading to greater productivity and employment and how upskilling must be high on the agenda if Ireland is to continue to compete globally.
'Skills Beyond 2007' is aimed at owners/managers of small medium and large businesses, employer representatives, senior managers and trade union officials, representatives of professional organisations and public bodies, HR professionals and training providers.
