There is only one week left to nominate for this year's Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council Achievement Awards Ceremony!
The event takes place on Wednesday 14th March at Dungannon Leisure Centre and promises to be one of the most entertaining events of the year, celebrating the Borough's highest achievers in Sport, Arts and Media, Industry, Community and Voluntary and Schools.
The Achievement Awards has showcased some of South Tyrone's finest talent down the years including Malachi Cush and Ryan Farquhar, plus many home grown charities such as Another Pair of Hands and LILAC Cancer Care.
The overall Achiever of the Year award will be presented to one individual or group who have achieved outstanding success in 2006/early 2007. Previous Achievers of the Year include Harry McGuigan (2003) for his contribution to the world of judo, Mickey Harte (2004) for leading Tyrone to its first GAA All Ireland title, Ryan Farquhar (2005) for road racing and Noble Patterson (2006) for his innovative invention which has been commissioned for use in city hospitals.
