Council to Host Lithuanian Day

Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council is to present a celebration of Lithuanian culture on Saturday 3rd February. The event, which will be hosted by Mayor Cllr Jim Hamilton, is organised in association with the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania, Mr Vygaudas Usackas.
The Lithuanian Day begins with a basketball game (Dungannon v Silute) at 1pm in Dungannon Leisure Centre. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
At 6pm at the same venue, 'Karcema', a folk band from Silute (Lithuania) will perform a series of songs and musical pieces. Again, admission is free and everyone is welcome.
