OIL STAMP SAVING SCHEME

Publish Date: Monday, 12 September 2011

Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council is now operating an Oil Stamp Saving Scheme, making oil stamps available for purchase which can be used to make full or part payment for oil delivery.  The scheme allows householders who use central heating oil to budget effectively and spread the cost of their heating oil.

How the Scheme Works

Residents can collect a free oil stamp card from a participating retailer and complete the name and delivery address section. They can then purchase stamps which cost £5.00 each and affix them to their card. The completed or partly completed card can then be used to make payment or part payment for an oil delivery from an oil retailer signed up to the Council’s oil stamp scheme, thus spreading the cost of their oil. The Council then reimburses the oil retailers for the oil stamps accepted as payment.

Other areas run similar schemes so customers should make sure that only Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council stamps are used on their cards. Stamps from other areas cannot be accepted.

Oil saving stamps may be purchased at participating retailers.
