Publish Date: Wednesday, 24 February 2010
A partnership between Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council
and Groundwork NI invites applications from community organisations alongside DSTB Council proposed schemes for funding of projects which either
provide, maintain or improve a public park or other public amenity
or
promote biodiversity through provision, enhancement etc. of a natural habitat or maintenance/recovery of a species in its natural habitat
The overall amount of landfill tax funds to be distributed through this round of funding is approximately £130,000.
As part of the funding allocation process a full set of selection criteria will be applied. All projects must comply with ENTRUST conditions of funding and be located within 10 mile radius of a registered landfill site. All site based projects must have specified amount of public access. Priority will be given to projects that can demonstrate high levels of positive environmental impact and cross community involvement.
