HEALTH & WELLBEING DAY FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS
A Health & Wellbeing Day will be held for the
residents of Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough
on 27th September in Dungannon Leisure Centre
from 2pm until 8pm.

COUNCIL REQUESTS URGENT MINISTER MEETING TO DISCUSS LOW INCOME STATISTICS
Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council
has requested a meeting with Minister of Social
Development, Margaret Ritchie, to discuss
recently published statistics that declare
children living in Dungannon are at high risk of
low income.

MAYOR LAUNCHES SPORTS TOURNAMENT
Mayor of Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Cllr
Barry Monteith recently launched this year's
Cross Border GAA Tournament between
competing Under 12 teams from Donegal, Derry,
Monaghan, Armagh and Tyrone, which will be
hosted by Kevin Barry's GAC, Washingbay on
Saturday 25th August. This year, the tournament
coincides with the club's annual event for one of
their former youth members and is proud to be
associated with the club in hosting such an
auspicious event for young people.

MEDIEVAL SHOP WINDOW DRESSING COMPETITION
As the town of Dungannon prepares for the
highly anticipated Flight of the Earls Festival
from 6-9 September, Dungannon Regeneration
Partnership (DRP) in conjunction with newly
formed DungannonLife and the Tyrone Courier
will hold a special Flight of the Earls Medieval
Window Dressing Competition for businesses
trading in the town centre. A range of fabulous
prizes will be up for grabs!

TRANSLATION & INTERPRETING SUPPORT FUND LAUNCHED
Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council
recently launched a Community Translation and
Interpreting Support Fund which offers
continued financial support to community groups
who are developing Anti-Racism and Minority
Ethnic Inclusion Initiatives for Translation and
Interpreting Provision.
